Functions of the NPRC

To ensure post-conflict justice, healing and reconciliation. To develop and implement programmes to promote national healing, unity and cohesion in Zimbabwe and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
AREAS OF FOCUS

Thematic Areas

Below are Thematic Areas we focus on
Promotion of Truth
Truth telling processes must combine different measures. The process must embrace multiple narratives.
Justice & Accountability
Prosecutorial initiatives must be underpinned by a clear political commitment to accountability that understands the complex goals involved.
Reparations
The victim must be restored to their prior situation. Reparations should be proportional to the gravity of the violations and the harm suffered.
Memorialisation
Memorialisation initiatives must seek to achieve historical clarification supporting local memorialisation initiatives.
Gender
There is need to prioritise and ensure, the meaningful and effective participation of women in all aspects and at all levels of the transitional justice process.
Institutional Reform
This includes Vetting, Oversight, Structural and Legal Reform, Security Sector Reform, Disarmament, Demilitarisation, Asset Recovery, Demobilization and Reintegration Strategies,
